This is what I struggle with. Being and having everything perfect. It’s a false sense of control I have found. I have found it has brought up a lot of negative and blinds from the positive. Perfection in the way most define it brings on negative self talk and self-shaming. When focused on the positive of everything it feels perfect in a way. This is my new mantra, “being positive is the new perfect”. This is because being positive brings the positive things and people. Negative brings on the negative things and people. If you feel you are in a negative environment, cut it out. If there is negative energy from people, walk away from it. Send them love and positive energy. #dark&twistyturtle #4agreements#healingisaprocess ...You don’t need to compare yourself with anyone. You don’t need to live up to an image of perfection. You just need to be you. #wednesdaywisdom#thefifthagreement
I don’t know where to begin when it comes to these two girls.⛰
@selmasamyakel oh god. I don’t know how we got along so well since day one. It was just an instant click. This girl lived everything with me during the trek. Literally every single thing. All the tears and the laughter. She would always come and sit in my room whenever I had a headache until I eventually napped. We would also sit in the room most nights and laugh very loudly (walls were very thin people would knock to shut us up). I remember she would walk real slow with me if I needed to. And most importantly pull out my water bottle when I needed it. (Serious thing here). Somehow she was just always there the whole time.
@intysar was the group’s positive energy booster. I remember us pushing each other to go up the steep trails from day two. We just kept telling each other breathe, take it slow which kept us both going pretty well. I remember her trying to keep the positive vibes when everyone was getting a little tired day by day. Her energy is just amazing and she was able to crack a joke and make you laugh whenever she got the chance. That’s in addition to all the inspiring stories that I got to hear at some point while trekking.
These women were just pure souls who kept me going through the trek and I’m beyond grateful to have met them.💕
