I get asked often if I’m team Fitbit or Team Apple Watch! I am Fitbit through and through (it’s even in my bio😜)
I was working at target at the time and they had this promo where they wanted everyone to be super healthy. So they gave us either a free zip OR $50 off. (I chose the zip) So my very first Fitbit was the zip YEARS ago. That was the one that clipped on your pants or sock and it would only track calories and steps (or something like that) i ended up giving it away. Hunter also worked at target (that’s where we met) but he chose the $50 off with the promo they offered. He used his blaze maybe 1 week in total. When I decided to start my health journey he remembered he had the blaze stored away- thus where my legit Fitbit journey began.
My blaze treated me so well for my first 9 months of my journey. I ended upgrading to a versa only because Fitbit offered to upgrade me like the sweet souls they are! So here I am with a #versa that hasn’t been charged in 8 days 😂 *I just found out I can look at the weather on it, HOW COOL*
Just like my blaze, on this I can see my texts and when someone is calling. I have those notifications shut off though because I don’t like the vibration- it’s not obnoxious or anything I personally don’t like vibration of any sorts (my phones vibration is even turned off) it does a bomb job tracking- sometimes I have issues but I’ve come to realize when i am SUPER sweaty it slips on my skin-so it kind of can’t do its job when it’s sliding all over
So basically- kick ass battery life, calls/ texts/ bomb ass tracking/ looks nice 10/10 for Fitbit
HEY YALL!! Just checking in to say I’m done feeling sorry for myself 😅 last night was ROUGH bc i missed my soccer game simply by mistake, so I didn’t get a chance to workout. When things are out of my control I tend to bug out.... but I’m not letting that get to me. TODAY I HIT A NEW FUCKING PR. I ran 4 miles in under 37:27 minutes. One mistake doesn’t define me and won’t set me back. Let that resonate with you if you’re ever struggling like I was. 💕 lots of love and I’m back on my positive mentality. SWIPE TO SEE MY SWEAT AND RUN SUMMARY☠️ I did a 5 min cool down walk after 😋
So far from perfect but closer to accepting myself. I’m not sure if I ever will have a flat stomach , or be happy with my progress but my goal is to learn to be happy with the way I am. It’s very hard to do when everyone in society wants perfect and you always feel like you are less then enough.
What I’ve ate so far today >>
Lunch was a repeat of the other day. It’s so good!
> I tried this mock pina colada drink. So yummy it feels like you shouldn’t be drinking it! 40 cal, 1 carb
> picked up these MINI Larabars. They may not be something you incorporate in the beginning of your sleeve journey but for me at 2y postop it’s a good snack. They are very small but halfway fill me up. 100 cal, 11 carbs, 3 protein > breakfast was a frozen sausage patty. Fried it in a skillet and scrambled one egg.
Didn’t think I would be back to talking about belly button care post op 360 body lift so soon, but here I am😀 belly buttons have a really hard time post op because the blood flow isn’t very good, add compression garments and you are likely to have some necrosis. I had this problem post op but with wound care, I was able to clear it up. I advocate for belly button wound care starting right after surgery, that way you have a better chance of avoiding necrosis all together.
The reason I am posting this today is because yesterday I saw a black spot on my belly button. I figured it was just a fuzzy from my black leggings and I tried to pick it off.... it was not a fuzzy but indeed a little spot of necrotic tissue in the same area I really struggled with it post op tummy tuck. I am starting wound care right away and I won’t be closing my compression garment past my hips, giving my belly button the blood flow it needs. I also will not sleep in my compression garments but instead a pair of workout pants that are tight in my legs but not in my belly. I see my surgeon for my post op on Tuesday and will come up with a plan at that time. I am not worried at all but I just thought it was interesting that I would start having problems with my belly button again. I am thankful I know what to do though and can nip this problem in the butt before it gets bad.
Oh and word of advice, fabric tape sucks for wound care, I don’t recommend it. I need to go shopping for some more wound care supplies.
But in a really positive note, I slept amazing last night and I feel really good today. Here’s to each day getting a little better ❤️ #thighlift#skinremovalsurgery#excessskin#excessskinremoval#plasticsurgery#fitfam#progress#transformation#weightlossjourney#wlstransformation#wlscommunity#weightlosstransformation#determination#fitnessjourney#igfitfam#wls#vsg#weightlosscommunity#rny#gains#progress#fattofit#health#obesetobeast#losingweight#getfit
So not many people know, but I’ve suffered with anemia most of my life. My body just does not absorb iron the way that it would for others. In June of 2017, my hemoglobin dropped to an 8.5. I was very sick and could barely function every day. I knew that I was going to have surgery in December, so I was motivated to heal myself naturally. After trying a bunch of different pills, my hemo kept dropping. I assumed it was because of the casing on the pills that wasn’t allowing for my body to directly absorb the nutrients. I also did not have medical insurance during this time so I kept investigating to find natural cures. I ate A LOT of leafy greens and also invested in liquid iron. I personally can attest to spatone — it took me from a 8.5 to a 13 in a matter of 8-10wks. Having iron deficiency is very hard but there’s a solution to everything. Anemia can affect the body, mind and spirit in so many ways. This time around, I will be working with a hematologist to figure out the source of my deficiency and will be taking iron infusions because I am currently at a 9 hemoglobin getting my body in optimal health for round two and overall, for every day life. My family needs the best me as possible. 💫 #irondeficiency#anemia#cosmeticsurgery#iron#mommymakeover#breastaugmentation#medicaltourism#tummytuck#tummytuckjourney#tummytucksurgery#surgerytips#healthylifestyle#republicadominicana#wls#wlscommunity#wlstransformation#wlsjourney#wlssupport#plasticsurgery
