This morning I taught my most intuitive Yoga Class yet. I am talking about a full on freedom flow. I guided the class through a supported hip opening sequence based solely around moving with ease and control. It was MAGIC💫

Sarvangasana - the shoulder stand
This asana is a powerful one, and it is an inversion that helps you ease into the more complex inversions. It is called a shoulder stand, only because the weight of your body rests on the bony part of your shoulders.This asana is most efficient for activating the thyroid gland as you compress the neck throughout and hold the posture.
In my personal experience ,this asana is most beneficial ,for a smooth flow of halasana (the plough pose )& inturn karnapidasana( the ear pressure pose).. The following are the Benefits :
1) Its effective in activating the abdominal organs as well as thyroid gland.Thus those suffering from hypothyroid can benefit out of this.
2)Your neck and shoulders get a very good stretch
3)Improves digestion and metabolism
4)Relieves symptoms of menopause
5)Cures sinusitis ,asthma ,headache & Fatigue
6)Calms the brain ,cures issues of depression and stress

You mentally repeat: «I’ll lie down for a couple more minutes …», but minutes gradually multiply… 😴⠀
Sometimes You can even fall asleep again, and then you will definitely be late for work, school or, what is more important, for Your life 😧⠀

❤️ I am going to bed tonight at ** PM and waking up at ** AM, which gives me ** hours of sleep. This is PLENTY. My mind controls my body, and I really only need as much sleep as I tell myself. I cannot allow myself to fall into the limiting belief that sleeping more will somehow improve my life. My quality of life depends on my waking up on time tomorrow. ⠀
❤️ I am waking up tomorrow morning at ** AM because by doing so, I significantly increase the likelihood that I will achieve my goals this week, this month, this year, and for the rest of my life. ⠀
I am committed to waking up on time tomorrow because I know that how I start each day determines how I create my life because my day is my life. I can no longer accept anything less than the best from myself. ⠀

Yoga isn‘t about achieving a perfect alignment in poses. It is for the body, mind and soul. And we have got so many different bodies, minds and souls, with different histories! ❤️ As a teacher I think, that focusing more on the different muscles and body parts on the unique person (yes, that‘s AyurYoga) can make such a difference for the attendees of your classes. Instead of forcing them to make a perfect pose like this or that, I teach them how to feel good in their bodies! 🤗❤️ And even when it is sometimes sweaty or sporty, the main focus is the person itself and not a specific picture we have got in our mind about how we should look like. I think we already are told enough all day long how we should look, act or feel. Feel free and practice with me and leave my Tuesday class with a smile and a relaxed body! 😘 Seattle we are coming up, searching some places to teach at for the 3rd - 8th of April in 2019! Seoul in Korea also in September - let´s team up! 😘

Well...it appears false spring is over as we got more snow last night and I'm missing the days that the deck was clear. Hoping for warmer days soon!
Unsure of my ability to post this weekend. I'll be off to Kripalu for a yoga and tarot weekend retreat. So looking forward to spending time with my fellow yoginis (and yogis) and using a new tarot deck 💞

Which got me thinking about Perfection. My version of “perfect” is different from my neighbor. It’s different from the Pope. It’s different from my friends, my brother, my parents. You. Honestly, it’s different from anyone’s version of perfect.
